MissionMode Helps Burrup Fertilisers Enhance Their Crisis Management Plans

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2006 –

MissionMode Solutions, a leading crisis management and emergency notification system , today announced that Burrup Fertilisers Pty Ltd (BFPL), owners of a new world scale liquid ammonia plant in Western Australia, has deployed the MissionMode Virtual Command Centre. MissionMode will allow BFPL to send mass alert notifications and collaborate with adjacent operating companies, multiple mining, engineering, service companies, authorities and other stakeholders on the Burrup Peninsula and other locations in Australia.

The MissionMode Crisis Management system was deployed by BFPL in conjunction with TRUSCOTT Crisis Leaders and was made fully functional in BFPL’s Virtual Crisis Management Environment (VCME) within two shifts (less than 24 hours). The Company now has a powerful tool that will enable it to communicate timely information to a substantial number of organisations that will result in the protection of people, assets, the environment and the livelihood of the area.

Mr. Pankaj Oswal, Chairman and Managing Director of BFPL said “In introducing MissionMode as part of our operations environment, we are confident that it comprehensively assists compliance with the Western Australian Department of Consumer and Employment Protection’s (DOCEP) and other stakeholder requirements whilst at the same time meeting the safety and protection needs of the community”.

The new Ammonia Plant has been developed by a private company, Burrup Fertilisers Pty Ltd and represents an investment of AUD0 million. BFPL is majority owned by Mr. Pankaj Oswal who moved to Perth from India in 2000 to develop the largest ever Indian-based investment in Australia.

BFPL uses natural gases as feedstock to produce liquid ammonia. The plant has an annual production capacity of 760,000 tons of liquid ammonia, making it the largest of its type in the world.

“Our ammonia plant went live in April and we needed to develop a system that enabled very urgent communication and collaboration with a lot of different organisations who have a wide range of staff types and shift arrangements,” said Ms. Sandra Brockwell, Safety and Training Coordinator for BFPL’s Ammonia Plant in Karratha.

“We required an easy to learn and rapid deployment system that could produce sophisticated communication solutions whilst at the same time being adaptable to changing environments and requirements – especially those associated with government regulators, the expectations of the community and those of our working neighbours,” added Brockwell. “MissionMode clearly met all of our requirements so we teamed up with TRUSCOTT Crisis Leaders in a number of Situational Awareness Sessions, tested the system and after being convinced that it worked well, introduced it.”

“We have been pleased to enable BFPL to have a best-in-class Virtual Crisis Management Environment to complement rapid-decisions between the Incident Management Team in the Control Room on site, and the Boardroom in Perth,” said Mr. Jim Truscott, director at TRUSCOTT Crisis Leaders. “Few resource sector companies in AsiaPacific are able to match this capability.”

MissionMode to Offer Crisis Management Solution To Security Professionals

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 25, 2006

MissionMode Solutions, a leading crisis management and emergency notification system, today announced support of the growing trend towards Virtual Incident Command and Operation Centers. A demonstration of the benefits of the system for security teams will be available at ASIS International September 25-28 in San Diego at booth 7312.

As the world changes, the demands of emergency response teams have changed. The image that comes to mind when coordinating a team to respond to a crisis is a room filled with tables and chairs, projectors and empty coffee cups. The first task is getting that room set up. Most crises can be solved in the time it takes to get an Operations Center set up if effective communication tools are in place.

MissionMode ensures your entire team has up to the minute information on everything everyone else knows without the hindrance of location or device. Alerts with critical information can be sent to everyone in the field via phone, fax, pager, SMS, and myriad other devices. Recipients can immediately acknowledge receipt using pre-set automated options, or with a customized voice message. A teleconference can also be initiated on the fly to facilitate real-time communication.

The next task is getting the response team together, also a time-consuming prospect, and depending on the availability you may not get the A team. It is far more important to have the best people involved than the convenient people.

MissionMode creates a virtual command center that can be accessed by all recipients, or a sub-set depending on the situation. This online situation room can be populated with documents, files, and task assignments from pre-defined response plans for easy access. And team members can add information to the log as it becomes available including documents, spreadsheets and multimedia files in any format.

“People count on you to protect them, not to spend time filling out reports and duplicating efforts to keep every member of your team informed,” said Ted Collins, president and chief executive officer of MissionMode. “Emergency Operations Centers are about brains, experience and resources – not a room. What you really need are the right people to resolve a situation no matter where they are.”

Last, it is very rare that the problem requiring resolution is actually happening in that room. Someone, if not everyone, needs to be in the field solving the problem – however you also don’t want be in the field unarmed. Everyone on a response team needs access to the information in the Operations Center, even when they can’t be in the building. With MissionMode advanced communication solutions, it doesn’t matter where team members are located since they can quickly and easily access the system over the Internet, and even handheld devices.

MissionMode enables you to bring your entire Operations Center into the field with remote access to the Virtual Command Center from handheld devices. MissionMode’s revolutionary SecureView camera enables mobile surveillance. Field personnel can take pictures in the field and send them directly into MissionMode where they are only viewable by designated personnel. SecureView prevents the camera’s content from being emailed to anyone else or downloaded to any unauthorized computer.

“With the changing complexion of the world, people have to redouble their efforts to protect their people, assets and facilities – without getting tangled up in the limitations of setting up a physical operations center and trying to mobilize a team,” said Andrew J “Flip” Filipowski, chairman of MissionMode Solutions. “We can’t make the standard be that everyone has to be in the same room to start solving a problem.”

Winston Salem, NC (PRWEB) March 10, 2008

Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) March 10, 2008 — MissionMode Solutions has recently signed with Allegiant Air, LLC to provide emergency notification and crisis management software as a service (SaaS) to the airline. With plans tailored explicitly for the airline industry, MissionMode is a convenient fit for both airlines, like Allegiant Air, and airports alike.

Based in Las Vegas, Nev., the low-cost carrier provides nonstop, all-jet service to top U.S. leisure destinations. Allegiant Air’s director of safety and security first heard about MissionMode from an airport that Allegiant Air serves. The value of MissionMode to Allegiant Air was clear from their initial review for not only incident and crisis management but also for operational uses. Timely and accurate communication is crucial for any organization operating within tight schedules where minutes count. Reducing the time it takes to communicate effectively can result in bottom line benefits in terms of costs – whether for daily operations or crisis management.

“Based upon Mission Mode’s previous success within the aviation industry, and our thorough review of their services, we found the product to be an ideal match to our particular needs,” Mike Baxter, Senior Vice President of Operations for Allegiant Air, said. “Since then we have found their personnel to be very professional, helpful and maintain clear understanding of our business. Although we are still in the early phases of the many uses of MissionMode, Allegiant has found the system to be efficient, easy to use and a labor and time saver in communicating important notifications in respect to various day to day operational issues.”

Using any Internet connection, Allegiant Air staff and associates can log on to the site from anywhere in the World. They can also send out alerts and notifications to others who respond to the alert via landline, cell phones, SMS and e-mail. Once mobilized, users can access a command and control website to securely manage the incident to a successful conclusion.

“We are proud to have Allegiant Air as a customer in our expanding roster of aviation clients benefiting from MissionMode including airlines, airports and manufacturers,” Malcolm Hafner, President, MissionMode Solutions, said. “As most companies have to manage increasingly complex processes and interactions, communicating quickly and effectively during daily operations and crisis situations is crucial. We look forward to working closely with Allegiant so they gain maximum advantage from their investment and trust in MissionMode and positively impact their bottom line through effective operational and crisis management communications.”
